LINGUISTICS
In the article, with the help of general scientific and linguistic methods, primarily linguostylistic and contextual analyses, the study of lyrical rock-discourse is continued. The emphasis is made on its hybrid nature, viz. Placement between rock, poetical and, perhaps, interactive (juvenile) discourses. It has been found out that among different tools of rhetorical influence, made use of in the studied variation of rock-discourse, tropes, the most common of which are metaphors and epithets, have an important role. In the research, the cases of pragmatic application of personal pronouns and graphics are considered. Attention is paid to the personality of the lyrical hero (heroine) that is shown to be a language personality as well.
The multidimensional development of all types of intercultural communication has revealed a number of problematic issues that slow down and make it difficult to obtain adequate information. The article presents some results of the analysis of the degree of correspondence between the general vocabulary of a number of Slavic languages (Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Polish, Czech and Slovak) and the special vocabulary belonging to the terminology of lexicology in Russian and Polish. Methods of statistical, component, comparative analysis of Slavic multilingual lexemes are used. The analysis of linguistic terminologies in the field of lexicology allows us to identify promising areas for their research and development. When harmonizing multilingual terminologies, one of the means is the mutual adjustment of the content and form of national terms in order to establish exact correspondences between them, which are often accompanied by mutual borrowing of lexemes, enriching national terminologies.
The article focuses on some of the English syntactical structures in fiction that manifest the category of alterity, a constituent category for cognitive and communicative processes. Not being a grammar category, alterity is viewed as an implicit communication category, rendered within its categorical properties. On account of alterity being made explicit through a definite use of syntactic means, it is possible to decode the implicit meanings and latent properties of the characters’ verbal and non-verbal communication.
Translingual literature is heterogenic; its classification based on structure, form and genre implies distinguishing novels, novelettes, short stories, plays, poems, etc. As well as differentiating among the following genres and subgenres: young adult/youth literature, fantasy novels and stories, science fiction, criminal literature, etc. Foreign linguistic and cultural substrate is verbalized in translingual young adult novels: culture-loaded loanwords, proper names (including precedent names derived from the non-native languages of target readers). Frequently used domestication strategies aimed at decoding foreign linguistic and cultural substrate rank as follows (in descending order): explanatory context, the author’s detailed commentary, one-word translation equivalent, extratextual glossary.
The article is about the study of the territorial variability of substantive phraseological units. The aim of the research is to identify similarities and differences between British and US substantive phraseological units with the meaning of "human characteristic", explore phraseological units in the context of semantic field theory. In the article, the factors influencing the variability of idiomatic expressions were analysed. The novelty of the research lies in the need to identify the national characteristics of peoples' cultures through the consideration of linguistic variation. The phraseological units are investigated in order to identify the national characteristics of peoples' cultures through the consideration of linguistic variation.
EDUCATION
The article deals with theoretical and practical aspects of communicative competence and competence of students, presents comprehensive methodology for the formation of speech skills in receptive (listening and reading) and productive (speaking and writing) types of speech activity as integral components of communicative competence in the History of Medicine classes for French-speaking students. The theoretical basis was the publications of domestic and foreign researchers devoted to the development and content of the concepts of competence, communicative competence, competence. As a result of the analysis of these publications and the experience of pedagogical activity, the author substantiates the conclusion that the formation of communicative competence and competence of medical students is important to carry out not only in language disciplines, but also in the course of mastering other disciplines of the humanitarian profile. Based on the generalization of their own pedagogical experience, a methodology is proposed for the formation of the above types of speech skills.
Modern researchers pay attention to the state of functional reserves of vital body systems in student youth, which is the most active part of the population and has a significant percentage (from 12 to 27) of pathological changes in the cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal tract, musculoskeletal system, respiratory system and etc., which creates certain difficulties for the appointment of a motor regime, both in organized groups and in independent physical education. The study confirmed the need for differentiation of physical activity in organized group classes, not only in terms of the main nosology, but also taking into account combined chronic diseases. Material. The study involved 55 people (girls aged 18-23). As a material for the work, official protocols of a medical report on belonging to an educational medical group, indicators of the level of physical fitness, functional reserves of the cardiorespiratory system, body mass index (BMI), as well as complexes of physical culture and recreational activities were used. Research methods. Generalization of specialized domestic and foreign literature, analysis of health-improving exercise complexes, control tests of the level of physical fitness and development of basic physical qualities, indicators of functional tests. Statistical processing of the obtained data was carried out using standard packages (Microsoft USA). The reliability of the differences in the studied indicators was established using generally accepted methods of mathematical statistics. Result. As a result of the study, reliable data were obtained on the need to analyze the method of prescribing a motor regimen of a health-improving orientation for students with a combined pathology of vital body systems. Scientific novelty. The method of formation of complexes of physical exercises in students with combined pathologies is determined.
