A comparative analysis of phraseological units with the numeral “one” in Russian, English and Chinese linguistic cultures

Abstract
The present article is devoted to the study of phraseological units with the component “one” as cultural codes. Despite the extensive research in the field of linguoculturology and phraseology, a comparative analysis of this concept in languages with different structures (Russian, nationally-specific features of the concept of unity. Based on continuous sampling, the work forms a corpus and conducts a semantic classification of phraseological units. It is concluded that the cultural content of the concept is fundamentally different. Russian phraseology tends to contrast and collectivity. English phraseology tends to pragmatism and individualism. Chinese phraseology tends to philosophical harmony and systematicity. Thus, phraseological units with a numerical component act as cultural codes, and their comparative analysis is an effective method for reconstructing the features of a national worldview. The practical significance of the research is related to the possibilities of its application in the theory and practice of translation, intercultural communication, and language teaching.
