Abstract

The article substantiates the approach to terms as signs of the national language, in which the special content of concepts of a certain field of knowledge or activity is represented in a peculiar way. The author proceeds from the concept of V.M. Leychik, according to which the term has a complex structure, including a natural language substrate, a logical superstrate and a terminological essence. Using specific examples from Russian, Polish and French, the differences in the terminological design of the special content of concepts, in the conceptualization and categorization of scientific and professional knowledge are considered. It is noted that much less attention is paid to the problem of national and cultural labeling of special units than to the issues of borrowing and internationalization of terminology, although this is precisely where the anthropocentric essence of language and culture and the variety of variants of the correlation of linguistic and conceptual structures are manifested.
