COVID-19 pandemic as a means of enriching the English vocabulary

Abstract

The paper dwells upon the terms that appeared in the modern English language due to the COVID-19 pandemic that spread all over the globe in 2020, in particular those with the ‘covid’ terminoelement. The author also analyzes word-building affixes that helped to create new word with -covid- lexeme.
