Abstract

The aim of the article is to reveal cognitive bases for studying the discursive personality of a veterinarian. The work was done on a material of the Russian National Corpus from
18th-21st centuries. The contexst for the analysis were selected using the Russian National Corpus and internet-resource Kartaslov.ru. Cognitive features of fiction characterizing the model of personality that takes care of animals were described. The results revealed inconsistency of this model with predominance of negative connotation and integration of the concepts of konoval and veterinarian in the Russian literature.
