Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the pop discourse of German and Turkish performers. The analysis of phonetic means of expressiveness, primarily alliteration and assonance of 14 songs, was carried out. Methods of interpretation, comparison, discourse analysis, phonosemantic, linguistic-stylistic, and quantitative analysis were used. It has been established that phonetic means of expression are widely represented in pop discourse, but there are certain linguistic and linguocultural features of their use. The results of the study show that in Turkish songs alliteration and assonance are actualized much more often than in German.
