The functioning of phraseological units with the zoonym component in the english media discourse of political and economic focus

This article deals with the functioning of phraseological units with the component zoonim in political and economic media discourse. The relevance lies in the fact that phraseology provides the best way to study the peculiarities of mentality and way of thinking of the Englishspeaking world, which, in turn, provides a productive dialog of cultures and mutual understanding between peoples and nations. The phraseological phrases with the component zoonim are studied from the point of view of discursive approach, in the conditions of increased interest in the study of the inner human world at the present stage of development of linguistics. The use of phraseological units with the component zoonim is studied on the example of media discourse of political and economic orientation.
