Abstract

The formation and development of Russian dialects on the territory of the Orenburg region was complicated not only by separation from maternal dialects and inter-Slavic interaction, but also by contact with Turkic and Finno-Ugric languages. At the same time, new natural conditions determined the close social, economic and linguistic interaction of ethnic groups living nearby, which in a certain way affected the formation of a new dialect picture of the world. The dialect material accumulated in almost two hundred years, starting from the stay of V. I. Dahl in the territory of the Orenburg province, allows to a certain extent to reconstruct the specifics of the dialect picture of the world in its territorial diversity in changes in the registers of preservation or changes in the picture of the world in intralanguage and interlanguage interaction. The most stable in this regard are the dialect systems of the Cossacks in connection with the peculiarities of their mentality and lifestyle. The rest of the immigrants, judging by the lexicographic fixation of the Orenburg dialect vocabulary, found themselves in closer ties with the emerging Orenburg community, which makes it possible to study not only the specifics of contacting Slavic and non- Slavic dialects, but also to determine the specifics of filling language gaps in the new dialect picture of the world and the mechanisms of semantic differentiation.
