Anthropolinguistics is 20 years old

Abstract
The article is devoted to a brief description of the history of the formation of a new trend in linguistics – anthropolinguistics and its progressive development over 20 years.
Purpose: To outline the main tasks of the new linguistic science and propose promising directions for its study.
Methods: Descriptive, definitive, comparative methods are used.
Results: It has been established that anthropolinguistics has achieved significant results over the twenty years of its existence: it has established itself as a scientific and educational branch of knowledge; has an interdisciplinary character; performs cognitive, cultural, social, informative, predictive functions.
