Metaphorical modeling of war in the discourse of the XX century (based on the Russian and German languages)

Abstract
The context of cognitive linguistics is characterized. The concepts of conceptual metaphor, metaphorical modeling, and non-expert conceptualization of war are introduced. Metaphorical models of war in the Russian and German fiction are analyzed. Universal and nationally specific representations of the war metaphor are identified.
