Modern regulatory texts: on the issue of genre specifics

Abstract
The research is devoted to the problem of linguistic classification of document texts, the relevance of which is due to the expansion of the space of modern business communication. The purpose of the work is to identify the genre features of documents that implement the general intention of regulation. Using the method of genre parameterization, two types of regulatory texts have been established: a directive and an explanation. The specifics of their speech embodiment is shown by the example of educational documents (regulations and methodological recommendations).: The prescriptive regulatory texts use linguistic means that explicate the hierarchical relationships of communication subjects and the modality of duty; explanatory regulatory texts use linguistic means that express the mentoring relationships of communication subjects, a wide range of modal meanings (opportunities, necessities, duties, advice, prohibition), as well as linguistic means that lead to the de-formalization of the document.
