Развитие любой науки, в том числе медицины, связано с появлением в языке новых слов, терминов, в связи с чем чтение и понимание специальной литературы на иностранных языках становится затруднительным. Одним из эффективных способов развития навыков чтения и говорения на иностранном языке является самостоятельная работа студентов. В данной статье раскрывается целесообразность преемственности профессиональных текстов, предлагаются способы овладения новым материалом и закрепления пройденного. 

The development of any science, including medicine, is associated with the appearance of new words and terms in the language, which makes it difficult to read and understand specialized literature in foreign languages. One of the effective ways to develop reading and speaking skills in a foreign language is independent work of students. This article reveals the expediency of the continuity of professional texts, suggests ways to master new material and consolidate what has been passed.
